ACTIVE VIDEO MODULES 2x8 Active Bi-Directional Video Module (5–1000 MHz, DC Pass) Active video modules (AVMs)offer high performance, versatility and a “future-ready” solution for residential video distribution. The 2x8 AVMs are IR passing port to port and capable of reverse modulation utilizing a coax output port. The 2x8 AVM amplifies the incoming CATV/ANT signal, providing a 4 dB gain to each of eight outputs compared to an 11 dB loss (typical) for the PVM. The modulator input has its own amplifier circuit providing a 2 dB gain.
