My system has a low battery trouble indication?
This trouble indicates that the backup battery is low or requires replacement
How ofter do I need to replace the battery?
A battery will last typically between 3 - 5 years. When the battery requires replacement or is low, the system will indicate a trouble on the keypad and if monitored, may report a signal to the central monitoring station.
How do I replace the backup battery?
The battery is located in the main control panel located in the basement or closet. Remove the red and black leads and then reconnect to the new battery. Ensure that the red wire is connected to the positive side of the battery and the black wire to the negative terminal.
Where can I purchase a new battery?
Your battery should be replaced with the current model located in your main control panel. A 12 volt 4 or 7-amp/hour, gell cell or lead-acid type battery is recommended and can be purchased through a local security company or electronics store

How do I set the time/date?

How can I find out what trouble my system has?
Press '*' then '2'. The keypad will display the current trouble or troubles.

What if I make a mistake while entering a code to arm or disarm?

My system accidentally went into alarm, what do I do?
Enter your 4-digit user code to disarm the system. If you do not have a user/master code, you will have to power down the system. Follow these steps. (1) Locate the control panel, which is a metal cabinet, either mounted in a closet or basement. (2) Carefully remove the red and black wires from the battery. (3) Turn off the AC power by removing the transformer. Usually the transformer is simply plugged into the wall outlet nearby. This will power down your system completely until you can contact your local security company for service.

What is the purpose of the 'Ready', 'Armed' and 'Trouble' indicators?
'Ready' indicator - this will illuminate when all zones are secure
'Armed' indicator - this will illuminate when the system is armed
